London Stansted Airport is a large passenger airport and is the center of traffic for major European low-cost airline companies. It is located near Stansted Mountfitchet in the Utlesford district of the English county of Essex, approximately 48 km from London. It is the fourth airport for traffic density in the United Kingdom and the third in the London area after Heathrow and Gatwick. Several airlines, especially low-cost, have their base at Stansted Airport. Ryanair is the one with more destinations departing from Stansted.
